Business Women in franchising

Previous life
Paula has a wealth of experience working with children firstly in summer schools whilst training to be a nurse. She worked for several years in inner London hospitals including time spent in paediatric wards before becoming a teacher, teaching children from nursery age through to year six. She progressed to the Head of Early Years at a large urban primary school before leaving to start her own business providing puppets and teaching resources to local schools.

What she thinks about her Musical Minis Franchise
“I particularly like the fact that Musical Minis is very flexible and dove-tails neatly into my other work and social interests that all complement each other very well. Musical Minis allows me the creativity to enjoy the work environment alongside the ability to successfully manage my home-work life balance.”

Paula’s personal stamp on the business…
Paula’s plan for expanding her business this year is to provide flexible work opportunities for mums/carers within her local community. “I believe with the help and enthusiasm of like minded people I will be able to promote and expand Musical Minis across my area and hope to at least double the classes available at the moment.”

What Karen Sherr, Director of Musical Minis says:
“Paula’s broad experience of working with children in a number of contexts means the Musical Minis franchise really appealed to her because of our “learning made fun” ethos. As a teacher, child-friendly aims and objectives which demonstrate progression were particularly important, and these are integral to all our classes.”
