With the Omicron variant of COVID-19 spreading throughout the UK we wanted to assure you that Musical Minis takes the safety of you and your child really seriously. We have spoken with the UK Health Security Agency (previous Public Health England) and discussed the COVID procedures we have in places at Musical Minis classes. They have reassured us that the way we are operating classes means that attendees at Musical Minis are not considered close contacts even if someone at a later date tests positive for COVID.

As it is so close to Christmas we do not want anyone to have to isolate due to attending Musical Minis so we are making you all aware of our safety procedures. Musical Minis has undertaken a COVID 19 Risk Containment Assessment, a Health & Safety Risk Assessment and each venue has been assessed for suitability particularly with the Omicron variant in mind.

The rules we are following are set out below:

• Everyone must pre-book into a class as numbers will be limited to the venues COVID 19 capacity.
• There will be socially distanced (2 metres) individual areas for everyone to remain throughout the session.
• The use of hand sanitiser is required and the wearing of masks will be mandatory for adults (with some venues allowing these to be removed whilst you are within your defined areas).
• Instrument kits, including some props, will be given to each child with no sharing permitted. The instruments and props will be cleaned or quarantined prior to and after each class.
• Classes have been set up to allow time to clean and wipe down any shared areas.

Please help us to keep everyone safe and do not attend if you or your child is unwell or awaiting a PCR or isolating. We would like you to do a lateral flow test before attending Musical Minis for the remainder of this term. Uppermost in our minds and actions is to ensure everyone who attends classes, including the Musical Minis Team, stays safe whilst still having lots of fun.
