We are delighted to be re-opening classes in some areas. As you can imagine there has been a lot of preparation to ensure the safety of everyone who attends a class. We have altered the programme slightly to reflect our own assessment of the COVID 19 risks and also to accommodate the guidelines issued by the Government (including the Department of Education) and the local Environmental Health Authorities. Rest assured Musical Minis will remain lots of fun whilst continuing to deliver its developmental aims.

Musical Minis has undertaken a COVID 19 Risk Containment Assessment, a Health & Safety Risk Assessment for the revised programme whilst each venue will have been individually assessed for suitability and to ensure correct social distancing before classes start.

Changes that you will notice include:

• Everyone must pre-book into a class as numbers will be limited to the venues COVID 19 capacity.
• There will be socially distanced (2 metres) individual areas for everyone to remain throughout the session.
• The use of hand santiser is required and the wearing of masks will be mandatory for adults (with some venues allowing these to be removed whilst you are within your defined areas).
• Instrument kits, including some props, will be given to each child with no sharing permitted. The instruments and props will be cleaned or quarantined prior to and after each class.
• Presently loud singing is not permitted. However, you will be encouraged to sing quietly to your child if you would like.
• Class times might have changed to allow for more time between classes to clean and wipe down any shared areas.

To make sure that everyone stays safe we have established a set of Musical Minis Covid Attendance Rules. Please do not attend if you have  COVID 19 symptoms, if you have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID 19, if you are awaiting the outcome of a COVID 19 test or if you are in quarantine or isolating.

The Musical Minis Covid19 Risk Containment Assessment will be reviewed regularly whenever advice changes in line with Government guidelines.
