Musical Minis, the children’s music and singing franchise, has announced that Caroline Docherty has won its Franchisee of the Year award.
Docherty (31) bought the business for Teesside and South Durham just over a year ago.
Karen Sherr, co-founder of Musical Minis in 1989, said that Docherty had achieved impressive sales figures and a growing membership to her weekly classes. She was also praised for her organisational skills, tenacity and for supporting all Head Office initiatives.
High Praise
‘I don’t quite know how Caroline does it, with three children under the age of 4. She is always the first to join in with PR campaigns and contributes to the network as a whole. Her business and administrative skills are to be admired and applauded,’ said Sherr.
Docherty commented..
‘I am really grateful that all the hard work I’ve put in has been acknowledged so officially by Head Office and would like to thank them for all their support.”
Musical Minis has 12 franchisees operating in the UK and the weekly classes are attended by about 1,500 children. The classes help children’s cognitive, social and emotional development, including their language and co-ordination, through music and song.
Sherr has a degree in child psychology and was a professional play specialist at Great Ormond Street Hospital talking children through the medical procedures they were facing and providing emotional support.
